Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Mijalinda Skin Balms unique?
We don't believe in rushing Mother Nature's process. Every balm we sell is handcrafted in Haverhill, MA, following a strict seasonal rhythm. We grow and harvest our own botanicals from March through August, letting them naturally solar-infuse into organic oils under the New England sun for 4 to 6 weeks before pouring.
What is the shelf life of your Balms?
Because our balms are entirely water-free and formulated with pure white beeswax, Shea butter, and natural vitamin E (a powerful antioxidant), they maintain peak freshness for 12 months from the date of pouring. To maximize shelf life, store your tins in a cool, dry place out of direct winter sunlight, and make sure your hands are dry when scooping the balm.
Can I use these Balms on sensitive skin?
Yes. Mijalinda skin balms are formulated with gentle, skin-loving base oils (jojoba, sweet almond, coconut, and olive) alongside nourishing garden herbs. They are free from synthetic fragrances, artificial dyes, and chemical fillers. However, if you have severe allergies, we recommend a small patch test on your inner wrist before regular use.
Why are your products only available from September to February?
We operate in harmony with the natural life cycle of our ingredients. Spring and summer are dedicated entirely to cultivation and patient solar infusion. Our online store opens in September, once the autumn harvest drop is finalized, and stays open through winter until our limited inventory runs out.
